“Mosquito Shrine” ou “Santuário do Mosquito” investiga como o som do mosquito pode servir como um meio para transformar a reputação do mosquito de um animal odiado para a de uma entidade religiosa.O mosquito foi um dos agentes catalizadores de mudanças genéticas em certas populações humanas, funcionou como exércitos para-militares contra invasores em certas regiões, que não sobreviveriam às doenças que transmitiriam, selecionou, reduziu ou destruiu cidades e povos.
Mosquito Shrine IV, 2022
"Mosquito Shrine" investigates how the sound of the mosquito can serve as a means to transform a mosquito's reputation from a hated animal to that of a religious entity.
The mosquito was one of the catalysts for genetic change in certain human populations, it functioned as para-military armies against invaders in certain regions who would not survive the diseases that mosquitoes transmit, these insects select, reduce, and destroy cities and peoples. The installation consists of a large embroidery made on a mosquito net that depicts fictional scenes of encounters between mosquitoes and humans, a sound system made of concrete and a sculpture of lights that attract mosquitoes into the exhibition space.

A instalação consiste em um grande bordado feito em uma rede de mosquiteiro que retrata cenas fictícias de encontros entre mosquitos e humanos, um sistema de som feito de concreto e uma escultura de luzes que atraem mosquitos para o espaço expositivo.
