Chahal Pupila
Chahal Pupila é um trabalho de bordado sobre tela de mosquiteiro que combina diferentes técnicas como pintura, costura e desenho. Inspirada nos primeiros grandes paredões de som de bandas como Grateful Dead e Pink Floyd construídos ainda nos anos 70, a série é um entreposto entre geometria, figuração, imagem e som.
The Chahal series are embroidery works on mosquito mesh that combine different techniques such as painting, sewing and drawing. Inspired by the first big sound walls of bands like Grateful Dead built in the 70's, the series is a cross between geometry, figuration, image and sound.
In this work, Vivian develops her prior work "Vessel" shown at New Museum earlier this year into new forms where human forms drawn by the artist are intently moving inside and out of large sound waves.

Neste trabalho, Vivian desenvolve a sua obra anterior "Vessel", apresentada no New Museum no início deste ano, em novas formas em que formas humanas desenhadas pela artista se movem atentamente dentro e fora de grandes ondas sonoras.
